La Choza De Alejo, Uvita
This restaurant is a 1 minute walk from the home. They have a large bar and may tables to enjoy their collection of tequilas and authentic Mexican food. This is one of the only place in the area to get good enchiladas, fajitas, etc. Makes for an easy dinner night with no driving needed.
Mosaic Wine Bar, Uvita
Mosaic is much more than a wine bar. This ex-pat run bar and restaurant has a lot to offer with crafty cocktails, hand picked imported wines (and wine shop), and a fantastic menu. The place is know for its sushi hands down, but you can find other great items on the menu as well.

Aracari Restaurant and Bar, Uvita
Dinner with a view. Nestled in Uvita’s mountains and has one of the best views in the area over the ocean from up on a cliff. Good for couples or family. The menu is large but most come for the fresh fish. You will want to reserve a table if going for dinner.
Gusto Italian Restaurant, Uvita
A close drive to Italian over the ocean. This restaurant is run by Italians and the food is fantastic. This is also a perfect place to have dinner and stay for the sunset.
Scala Restaurant, Dominicalito
Fine dinning, craft cocktails, and one hell of a view. This modern restaurant is up the mountain nestled amongst the jungle. This is a great place to go for a couple nice cocktails during the day or reserve a table for dinner. Be sure the have an early dinner around 4pm and stay for the sunset. You will need to call to reserve a table.
Restaurante Citrus, Ojochal
This is by far the most culinary dining experience in the area. This is located in the culinary capitol of Costa Rica, Ojochal. Plates are works of art, the ambiance is modern tropical, and the drinks are crafty. You will need a reservation to reserve a table for dinner, or you can go have some cocktails at their bar during the day without a reservation needed.
Restaurante Exotica, Ojochal
This is another favorite restaurant for a nice romantic meal in the Jungle. The open air restaurant is dimly lit and surrounded by beautiful flowers and jungle. They are famous for their food. The French native chef/owner uses classically trained french technique with no limits to what styles of food her team makes. All of it is good but I recommend their steak, fish, and the Thai pot. The steak is raised in pastures in the mountains and is local, sustainable, and well taken care of. It's very good! They are only open for dinner and you will need a reservation.
Sebas Restaurant
Excellent Argentinian inspired food and pizza lovers dream in heart of Uvita. This place has great atmosphere and great drinks too.
Le French Cafe, Uvita
This cafe is excellent for brunch, lunch, or a nice dinner. The Chef takes his food seriously and thoughtfully. It shares a trendy vibe in the new modern building next to a small boutique, tattoo shop, and modern home store. You can call to ask about reservations for dinner.
Sibu, Uvita
bakery, Coffee Shop, and modern plates of food. This place has it all. The atmosphere is always buzzing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have homemade pizza, wagyu hamburgers, upscale dinner plates, cocktails & craft beers! And it is only a 3 minute drive from the home.
Whale Tail Brewery and Pub, Uvita
Local brewery and restaurant 5 minutes from the house. The open air brewery usually has live music on weekends, sports events, and all around good vibe. People come for the beer but the food is good too. You will find good wings, burgers, tacos, chifrijo, etc. They also have cocktails if you're not into beer.
Pizza Time, Uvita
Authentic, handmade, wood fire pizza. pick up a pie or some handmade pasta take it home on pig out!
La Parcela, Dominicalito
Dine over the Ocean. Your view at dinner will be ocean on both sides of the restaurant with local fishing boats wading in the water. The food is great and local. We love the fish tacos and the jump shrimp dinner. The best part is that the howler Monkeys will come out around 4pm in the canopy above the restaurant. This is a perfect place to watch the sunset before heading home. There is little trail next to the restaurant that take you to a look out point that is a perfect spot for pictures.
Bar Jolly Roger, Dominical
Burgers, wings, and drinks in the mountains with an ocean view. This place is home to locals, expats, and visitors bellying up to the bar and tables to relax and drink a few beers or cocktails. This is in the mountains and is a little cooler atmosphere. A great place for lunch outing our dinner where you can catch the sunset before heading back down the mountain. It is cash or Venmo only so bring cash or your Venmo app.
Soda Ranchito Doña Maria, Uvita
Best Costa Rica typical breakfast. This is a small place in a neighborhood off the main road, but don't let that fool you. If you want authentic Costa Rican breakfast, this is the place. The Gallo Pinto is a must have and is best eaten with fired eggs or a pork chop. It is located next to a small creek and you will hear lost of local birds sing to you as you eat. A relaxing time away from the busier options in Uvita.
Los Laurales Restaurant and Bar
Nice quiet place for Costa Rican Cuisine and lots more. Very good food and all made from scratch. The usually have some smoked meats as well!
Bar Marino Ballena
Night Life Bar of locals and expats with good food too. The Casado Carne en Salsa and the Chifrijo are excellent.
Bar Toucan Hotel
The only pool table in town is located here. This is a small quite bar in a little hotel. We love to play pool and grab a couple of beers to start our night off (which start early in Uvita).
